I visited Tanzania for a business trip and as usual I took the camera along for the odd shot in my off time. I was based at Dar es-Salaam and visited the nearby businesses, including Zanzibar with some of my colleagues in Tanzania. The beach was walking distance from my hotel and on low tide the waders were actively searching for food. The business trip by ferry from Dar es-Salaam to Zanzibar was my first ever chance to see some palagic birds, but it was a difficult task to get a photo of any of the palagic birds from the moving ferry. Luckily I managed to get one or two photos from the moving ferry. I also managed to get a few photos of some of the waders and the more common birds close to the hotel at Dar es Salaam as well at Zanzibar. I was just too happy to see any new birds and to see a bit of the country as well. The ferry trip was one of the highlights.
